England`s captain and record goalscorer
Harry Kane moved from Tottenham Hotspur to FC Bayern Munich in
August 2023. With the exception of a few short loan spells, the
London native spent almost 20 years (2004-2023) with the
Lillywhites , scoring goals to his name and becoming Spurs'
record goalscorer with 280 goals in competitive matches. With 213
goals in the English top flight, the attacker was the all-time
leading scorer in Premier League history at the time of his move
to Munich, second only to Alan Shearer (260 goals in 441 matches).
In 2019, he and Tottenham reached the Champions League final for
the first time in the club's history, but lost 2-0 to
Liverpool.
With 36 goals in 32 appearances, Harry Kane became the
Bundesliga's top scorer in his first season, setting a record
for a debutant in the competition. The Englishman also won the
Golden Boot as Europe's top scorer.
Kane has been captain of the England national team since 2018. He
reached the final of a European Championship for the first time
with the Three Lions at EURO 2021, but lost to Italy on penalties
at their home ground, Wembley Stadium. In March 2023, the striker
surpassed Wayne Rooney as England's all-time record
goalscorer with a goal in a European Championship qualifier
against Italy .
